Today AMD officially unveils dual-GPU Radeon HD 6990 graphics card,which is challenging the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590.

The graphic card are based on 40nm manufacturing process,packs two Cayman XT core,features 3072 stream processors,64 ROPs,4GB GDDR5 memory,core/memory clock of 830/1250MHz(data rate of 5000MHz).

In addition,it employs 8pin external power supply design and has TDP of 375W.What’s more,it adopts turbine fan design,dual-BIOS design,and the GPU core frequency can be improved to 880MHz.

AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphics card is available at the price of US$699,and its competitor is supposed to be NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590.
